Dear Stakeholder

SASSETA is proud to announce that it has fully migrated from the traditional Seta Management System (SMS) to Indicium – a new streamlined, modern, quick and easy system that works on most browsers. Indicium allows stakeholders to submit online and SASSETA to review online No more paper! SASSETA conducted a Teams DG Demonstration on 22 July 2020 and participants unanimously found the system easy and convenient to use.

Below are some of the benefits of the new INDICIUM system.

  • Indicium is compatible with most browser applications i.e. Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari etc.
  • It has a user-friendly interface and dashboard which organises and presents information in a way that is easy to read and understand.
  • Includes Client Relationship Management (CRM) and reminders for each module; Expiry Notification of Provider, Assessors and Moderators.
  • Bulk Upload Functionality on both Learner Registration / Certification and Mandatory Grants.
  • Indicium’s validation of rules is complex – which allows for greater data integrity
  • Reduced turnaround times for processing of applications
  • Improved security and credibility of applications
  • Regular updates at each phase as the grant applications are evaluated
  • Multiple roles / profiles through one access point
  • Electronic storage of data
  • No physical contact, which will assist with the management of the COVID-19 virus
  • Accessible 24/7 for maximum convenience

The new SASSETA indicium system consist of the following modules;

  • NEW! Discretionary Grants Module which is a new functionality that manages budget maintenance, the DG application process, grants evaluation and approval and allocations as well as contracting. For DG queries please email DG@sasseta.org.za

To assist you with the completion and submission process, a DG training manual is provided on the SASSETA website for all users – employers, public and private training providers, trade unions, NGO’s, government departments etc., to assist with navigation on the Indicium system.
