Skills development plan

Did you know that employers can claim back 20% of total levy contributions annually through the submission of an approved Skills Development Plan (SDP)? This can be submitted online before the deadline of 30 April, every year.

SASSETA uses submitted Skills Development Plans to gain insight into sector skills needs. With these insights, we are then able to revise our own skills development strategy in line with our Sector Skills Plan.

Important conditions to note:

  • An approved Skills Development Plan is a requirement for participation in any SASSETA Discretionary Grants.
  • The accuracy of data is of the utmost importance; thus, employers must collect and collate data accordingly.
  • No extensions may be granted for submission.
  • Employers must collect and collate the required data as soon as possible.
