Provider accreditation

Through proper accreditation, Training Providers can offer learners and employers a higher standard of programmes. In turn, this amounts to greater skills development. We are proud to offer provider accreditation as one of SASSETA’s offerings.

Unit standards

Training Providers, please note that SASSETA no longer accepts applications for single unit standards. Instead, providers can submit an application to deliver and assess specified skills programmes. For more information on this, please refer to the application form and guidelines found here.

The unit standards within SASSETA’s accreditation scope are linked to NQF-registered qualifications. At present, most of these are being converted into the QCTO curriculum-based format. As a result, Training Providers must liaise with SASSETA prior to initiating any applications.

Qualifications

Training Providers that strive to deliver and assess qualifications that fall within SASSETA’s scope of delegated quality assurance require accreditation. Every QAP has its own accreditation criteria, process and form. This means that providers need to liaise directly with the relevant body. To identify the QAP  responsible for provider accreditation, please view the table below .
