The Safety and Security Sector Education and Training Authority (SASSETA) invites Member Employers, Accredited Training Providers, Public Training Institutes, NGO’s, CBO’s and trade unions operating in the safety and security sector as well as unemployed students studying at public institutions towards the scarce and critical skills in the Safety and Security Sector to submit applications for Discretionary Grants for the 2nd funding window for the 2018/2019 financial year. Private sector employers must be registered under SASSETA, paying levies to SASSETA or exempt from levies and must have submitted their Workplace Skills Plan/ Pivotal Training Plan to SASSETA. The learning programmes applied for must be in compliance with the lists as tabulated below. It is compulsory that all applicants comply with the new SASSETA Discretionary Grant Policy when applying.
Incomplete (all material information not provided) and late applications would be summarily disqualified without recourse.
Should an applicant not receive correspondence from SASSETA within three months of submitting the application, they must accept that their application has been unsuccessful. SASSETA will not communicate with unsuccessful applicants, however the applicant may submit an inquiry to PMosito@sasseta.org.za in this regard.
